Two new courses were offered in conjunction with the production of Where the Wild Things Are: Set Design and Costume Design.
In the Set Design class, taught by Alex Koziara, students helped to create some of the scenery at the theater workshop, as well as created some of the toys used as props in the production.
SUF students enrolled in the Costume Design class, taught by Prof. Kathy Knipple, produced the principal monster costumes. Students began with the very basics, sketching ideas for costumes. They then progressed to the silk-screening of fabrics that were later used in sewing five of the costumes.
