Intermediate Painting (PTG 381/382)

This course builds upon the basic elements of painting covered in beginning level courses and introduces a more painterly approach to figure/object painting. The focus of the course is on the process of observing the figure as a means of exploring experimental and expressive possibilities. Students will be guided through a progressive series of exercizes that put particular emphasis on colour, surface quality, and figure/ground relationship.
