Beginning Printmaking (PRT 251/252)
The one semester course is designed to explain what is printmaking, how it is made, how it differs from the other printmaking techniques. The class considers printmaking's placement along the other art forms in art history (from handprints on cave walls, through the high art of Rembrandt, Goya, and Piranesi to the digital computer printout) and its role in contemporary printmaking.
