New Approaches to Renaissance Painting Techniques and Conservation through Modern Technology (PTG 300.1)
Pre-requisites: None
Introduction to the traditional techniques of easel and wall painting (tempera painting on wood and fresco on wall), as practiced in Florence and Tuscany since the 14th century through the Renaissance, as well as basic information regarding the preservation of such artworks, with particular emphasis on modern technological advances. Limited enrolment with preference given to art majors.
