Advanced Sculpture (SCU 495/496)

This course is for students who have extensive background in sculpture and/or have completed intermediate levels at their respective university. Drawing on the complex experience of confronting new cultural and creative environments, this course focuses on the development of a personal approach to sculpture. Sculpture is considered a vehicle for communication and classroom discussion focuses on the experience of creating work in a different cultural environment. The course allows for the possibility to work in both traditional and non-traditional materials.
