Galleria

The Galleria building, across the street from SUF's Villa Rossa, provides space for the Digital Photography Lab and the Printmaking Studio, besides additional classroom space for the SUF campus.

The Digital Photography Lab includes facilities for digital imaging, with 12 iMac G5 equipped with the latest software for digital photography such as Adobe Creative Suite 2, Apple Aperture etc. Each computer has its own printer for every-day use and is connected to an Epson large-format pigment ultra-chrome ink jet printer for Fine Art prints. Flatbed scanners and Nikon high-resolution negative scanners for 35mm and medium format film are also part of the equipment. A large studio for stage photography is available for students with tungsten and strobe studio lighting, and digital projectors, as well as internet connection to visit web sites of artists' work.

The Printmaking Studio is equipped with all necessary tools and equipment for various types of printing. Courses are structured to allow students the chance to experiment with everything from monotype, to various intaglio techniques - including dry point, etching, aquatint, soft ground and engraving.
