Museum Pass

Syracuse University has made each student a member of the Amici degli Strumenti Musicale which in turn provides a pass that entitles you free entrance to the following locations:

Medici Chapels at San Lorenzo
San Marco Museum
Uffizi Galleries
Accademia Galleries
Cenacolo di Sant’Apollonia
Cenacolo di San Salvi
Palazzo Davanzati
Opificio delle Pietre Dure
National Museum of Sculpture (Bargello)
Palazzo Pitti (Galleria Palatina, Museo degli Argenti, Galleria del Costume, Galleria d’Arte Moderna)

Please observe the following rules and regulations:

The pass is good for only the card holder.

You will need to show identification with the pass at the ticket window when obtaining a ticket. A passport, student identification or photocopy of either will do.

You will need to show the pass and identification when using the card during a class visit. If you come to a site visit without your pass, you will be responsible for paying the entrance fee and not be entitled to a reimbursement.

The pass is NOT good for reservations. If you wish to make reservations to avoid long lines at the Uffizi or Accademia you can do so by calling Firenze Musei at: 055-294883. (You will not need to worry about making reservations if you are visiting a museum with a class.)

If you lose the pass, it is your responsibility to replace the card. You may contact Laura Bognetti at the Museum of Musical Instruments: AccademiaMusicale@polomuseale.firenze.it. You must make an appointment to pick up your replacement pass at Via Ricasoli, 60.
