Biographical Profile

Coordinator of the Italian Language and Culture Department of Syracuse University in Florence 1994-present. Syracuse University Faculty Associate.

Teaches Italian Language and Culture at all levels. National Certification in the Methodology of teaching English as a Second Language. Courses of Continuing Education at the Università per Stranieri of Siena, at ILSA, Florence (Insegnanti di Lingua Straniera Associati) and at the Università per Stranieri of Perugia. Visiting professor at Syracuse University, NY.
Co-author of Dimmi! (Guerra Edizioni 1999), an Italian language textbook for beginners, Praticamente dimmi (Guerra Edizioni, 2009), a workbook with grammar notes for beginners designed for the acquisition of the Italian language through functional and communicative activities; Nuovo Dimmi…(Guerra Edizioni 2008), an Italian language textbook for A1/A2 level language students. Publication in progress: Praticamente Dimmi, Grammar Notes and Glossary (Guerra Edizioni 2009)

Research interests

Inter-culture in Italy: Comparison between and among different cultures and civilizations. Integration and incorporation of the Italian life and culture in the process of language acquisition.
