Biographical Profile

Specialized in Methodology of Teaching Italian as a Second Language and Italian Literature to Foreigners at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia. Fellowship granted by Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca Scientifica e Tecnologica of the Italian Government for post-graduate specialization, courses attended at Georgetown University, Washington D.C., U.S.A. (1991).

Has taught Italian as a Second Language at Syracuse University in Florence since 1989. Has also taught at the Università per Stranieri di Perugia and Istituto Universitario Europeo, Florence. Has taught Italian as a Foreign Language at Georgetown University, Washington D.C., USA. Visiting Professor at Tokyo University of Foreign Language, Tokyo, Japan (1996-1998) where she also taught Metodology of Teaching Italian as a Second and Foreign Language. Since 1999 teaches a course on Contemporary Italian Language and Society at Syracuse University in Florence. Works with the Syracuse University in Florence internship program as faculty supervisor for internship in adult education and Secondary schools. Since 2000 she holds teacher training courses for the acquisition of Italian as a Second Language in Primary and Secondary Schools.
