
Syracuse University in Florence provides a variety of technological resources in order to satisfy the needs of all students. Not only can students use the various university PCs but can also bring their own laptop and hook up to the wireless network that is available in various locations on campus.
University Computers
There are over 40 PCs that are connected to printers in the SUF computer
lab which is located in the basement of the Villa Rossa. The School of
Architecture in Piazzale Donatello 25 has computer resource rooms with
PCs, a scanning center and both color and laser printers. All PCs have
internet access and the following software installed: Windows XP,
Office XP and AutoCad XP.
Network/E-mail Accounts
• All students are assigned individual computer accounts
with a 100 Mb quota to save scholastic work completed while on campus.
• Students may choose to keep their current e-mail account or they
can request a SUF e-mail account with a 50 Mb quota.

Fabio started working with SUF in 1984 and was asked to computerize the campus in 1993. He has been working as coordinator of Network Services ever since.

Lorenzo has not only taken various specialized course in computer science but has gained valuable work experience as a computer consultant for the University of Florence. He started working at SUF in his current position in 2008.
