Reading for the Blind

What is the "Stefano Bruni Tape Library"?
It is a non profit national center that  distributes books on tape to people with sight disabilities all over Italy.

What will you be doing?
Volunteers will be asked to read aloud and record some selected English
books. We will supply a tape recorder, cassettes and instructions. You can
read  wherever and whenever  you  would like.

Who is the ideal candidate?
Candidates must have a clear and strong voice.
No knowledge of Italian language is required.

How much time do you need to dedicate?
As much as you want. Recording can be done at any time depending on your
availability.

Why should you participate?
With your voice you can share your language and culture with Italian blind
people and leave something that will last beyond your stay in Italy.

All volunteers will receive a certificate of participation.

Three volunteers will be given awards at the Outstanding Students ceremony to be held on the end of the semester.
