Soup Kitchen Mensa

What is the Mensa?
It is a place where the homeless and people in need can go to find a warm meal and a friendly environment.

What will you be doing?
Volunteers will help serve meals, bus tables, and clean the dining rooms, while helping to provide a welcoming and supportive setting.

Who is the ideal candidate?
This volunteer option just requires the desire to dedicate some of your spare time to people in need. No knowledge of Italian language is required.

How much time do you need to dedicate?
Regular participation is not necessary. However, for those days you choose to volunteer, you are required to be available for meal distribution from 11:30am to 2:30pm.

Why should you participate?
This is a new volunteer project in which students can give back to the Italian community and experience a reality different from the stereotypical view of Italian society, being aware of issues of immigration.

At the end of the semester you will receive a certificate of participation.
